Take a look below at the "checklist" we have created of grooming essentials. It might seem stupid but it is important.
- Always shower before the interview and please don't overload yourself with cologne. A nice mild choice is best.
- Ward off nicks and cuts. An imperfect shave can spoil your look. And for some of you, please just remember to shave. Looking grubby is not the best choice today.
- Wash your hair and make sure it's combed and under control. If you don't have any hair, at least wash your head.
- Dress appropriately for the job interview. If you don't know what the preferred dress attire is, ask your contact person or recruiter. Have your clothes clean, pressed and look neat. Don't go in with stains on the shirt or pants. We realize jeans and t-shirts are acceptable dress in the game industry but interviewing should show that you have a neat clean style of dressing as well.
- Wear a neat pair of shoes for the interview. Dress shoes are not necessary but nor are dirty tennis shoes.
- Clean your finger nails. People don't like to see ragged and dirty finger nails across the desk from them in an interview.
